ICRC part of National Violent Death Reporting System project
The WVU Injury Control Research Center is working with the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on a new grant-funded project.
The grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention funds West Virginia’s participation in the National Violent Death Reporting System.
Dr. Robert Bossarte, director of the WVU Injury Control Research Center and associate professor in the School of Medicine's Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry, will oversee the evaluation of the activities under the award. Bossarte’s areas of research include violent and suicidal behaviors, psychiatric epidemiology, substance abuse and life course/health trajectories.
