Interim Chair for the Department of Epidemiology Appointed
Jefferson C. Frisbee, PhD will serve as the Interim Chair of the Department of Epidemiology until a permanent chair is named. Dr. Frisbee is a tenured Professor in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology in the WVU School of Medicine, and also serves as Director of the WVU Center for Cardiovascular and Respiratory Sciences.
Dr. Frisbee possesses considerable skills and experience as an educator, researcher, and administrator. Among his numerous past accomplishments, he has held leadership positions in the American Heart Association, participated as a reviewer for several NIH study sections, and served as Editor-in-Chief for the journal Microcirculation.
