IT malware event update – March 23, 7:30 a.m.

Information Technology employees worked throughout the night to continue to address the issues related to the malware event that occurred early Tuesday (March 22) morning. Progress is being made.

In the ambulatory areas, most of the PCs in the work areas are running. It’s expected that the PCs in the exam rooms will be running late this afternoon.

In the inpatient areas, work will continue throughout the day to address PC issues in the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, and other patient care areas, as well as at Chestnut Ridge Center.

Video monitoring and the pharmacy robot are working. New hard drives are being delivered for the AcuDose machines and should be installed by the end of the day.

Incident Command will remain operational through the day. If you're experiencing major workflow or other issues, contact Incident Command at ext. 78220.

If you're having IT-related issues, please call the Help Desk at 304-598-4357.
