New conference rooms to replace former John Jones spaces

New conference rooms to replace former John Jones spaces

Construction will begin June 16 on two new conference rooms (G-119 A and B) on the ground floor of Health Sciences North. They will replace the two conference rooms closed several weeks ago in the John Jones Conference Center as part of the cafeteria renewal.

The rooms will seat 80 and 64 people, and can be combined into one space for larger groups. The work is a part of the cafeteria project and will be completed by external vendors.

The new conference area will take the place of a women’s locker room used by students, adjacent to the “Blue Room” study area. Lockers are being relocated to Room G-280-B and will be available to students June 17.

The conference area is scheduled to be completed by late August or early September.
