New providers - June 2020

The following providers joined WVU Medicine in June:

ANESTHESIOLOGY

Christopher Deskins, MD, joins WVU Medicine Anesthesiology in Morgantown, West Virginia as a pediatric anesthesiologist. Dr. Deskins is a former resident of the WVU Department of Anesthesiology. He completed a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at UPMC. 

Timothy Goldhardt, MD, joins WVU Medicine Anesthesiology in Morgantown, West Virginia as a cardiac anesthesiologist. Dr. Goldhardt is a former resident of the WVU Department of Anesthesiology. He completed a cardiac anesthesiology fellowship at the Allegheny Health Network. He will also hold advanced perioperative transesophageal echocardiography certification.

HEART AND VASCULAR INSTITUTE

Mehmet Sertac Cicek, MD, joins the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute in Morgantown, West Virginia as a pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon. Dr. Cicek is a former senior associate consultant at the Mayo Clinic Department of Cardiovascular Surgery. He is an internationally recognized leader in congenital cardiac surgery and a pediatric cardiovascular surgeon for the Ministry of Health in Turkey.  

OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY

Kelly Cummings, MD, joins WVU Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology in Morgantown, West Virginia as a maternal fetal medicine specialist. Dr. Cummings was the medical director of the maternal opioid medication support program at Marshall University. She completed a maternal fetal medicine fellowship at the University of Arkansas.
