Nominations for employee representative on WVU Hospitals' board of directors to be accepted starting Monday

Nominations for the employee representative on the WVU Hospitals' board of directors will be accepted starting Monday, June 6.

The nomination and election process will be conducted via CONNECT.

The three employees who receive the most nominations will be eligible for the election, which will be conducted from Tuesday, July 5, through Sunday, July 24.

The responsibilties and duties of the role include:

  • Understanding and demonstrating a commitment to the corporation's mission.
  • Keeping up to date with issues and trends that affect the organization.
  • Contributing skills and knowledge by participating actively in board and committee meetings.
  • Ensuring the corporation is complying with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Charles Wisilosky, house supervisor, is the current employee representative on the board. Wisilosky is not eligible to participate in this year's election since he has served in this role for two terms. His current term expires July 31, and the new term begins Aug. 1.
