Nursing CE event to cover lowering LDL cholesterol

Nurses and nurse practitioners are invited to a continuing education event Thursday, May 19, at Euro-Suites Hotel, 501 Chestnut Ridge Road, Morgantown.

Anthony Morise, M.D., will present "PCSK9 Inhibition: A New Method to Lower LDL Cholesterol." He will discuss the history of PCSK9 from discovery to clinic, including approved indications, dosing and safety information. Dr. Morise will also review current cholesterol treatment guidelines and recommendations.

RSVP is required by Thursday, May 12, to tennantjen@wvumedicine.org. There will be a catered dinner, but seats are limited. Registration begins at 5:30, and the presentation starts at 6 p.m.
