OLLI at WVU to host open house Sept. 14

Want to learn more about the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at WVU and its upcoming classes? The program is hosting an open house from 2-3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, in the Mountaineer Mall.

OLLI offers noncredit courses geared toward adults 50 and older in the arts, economics, health and wellness, humanities, science, math and other areas.

"The open house is an excellent opportunity to learn about our upcoming fall term," Director of OLLI at WVU Jascenna Haislet said. "Staff will be available to assist members with registration. Be sure to bring a friend."

Haislet also invited the public to the annual Irving Goodwin Aging Lecture, at 1 p.m. the same day in Classroom B. Amy Rodgers Smith, founder and executive director of On A Better Note Music Therapy and WVU adjunct music therapy professor, will talk about "Music Therapy and Aging." Contact the OLLI office, 304-293-1793, to register.
