Parkersburg orthopaedic surgeons join WVU Medicine

WVU Medicine West Virginia University Medical Corporation announced today (Dec. 17) that Parkersburg Orthopedic Associates (POA), led by George Herriott, MD, and John McElroy, MD, board-certified orthopaedic surgeons, has joined University Health Associates and the faculty of the West Virginia University School of Medicine.

Drs. Herriott and McElroy will remain based out of their 1600 Murdoch Ave. offices, which will become known as WVU Medicine Orthopaedics. They will operate primarily at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center.

“We have a long history of supporting healthcare needs and providing educational opportunities in the Mid-Ohio Valley community,” Judie Charlton, MD, chief medical officer, said. “We are pleased to add orthopaedic surgery to the services we offer in the Parkersburg area. Drs. Herriott and McElroy are high quality providers who have had a long-standing and positive relationship to our academic Department of Orthopaedics.”

WVU Medicine Orthopaedics provides diagnostic, medical, and surgical treatment for injuries and disorders of the joints and upper and lower limbs. Services provided include:
