Parking permit revalidation happening through Friday

The Security Office, located on the fourth floor of J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Room 4C51, is revalidating parking permits from Wednesday, July 5, through Friday, July 28. Office hours are 6:30-11 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Only those with a blue or brown repositional (sticker) permit, employee handicapped permit, or green resident or silver faculty permit will need to revalidate this year. These employees will need to bring the Vehicle Registration Form, available on CONNECT, completely filled out, along with their old permit and photo ID badge, to receive revalidation or the new static cling decal.

Employees who receive a new repositionable decal will need to place it on their windshield above the inspection sticker; this decal will replace the yellow decal that was issued last year.

Ticketing will be limited in July due to the parking permit revalidation process.

If your permit becomes lost or stolen, there will be a $20 (cash only) replacement fee. Intentional falsification of information will result in your permit being revoked.

Other revalidation details:

  • Those who park off-campus and have a red permit will go through the parking permit revalidation process at a later time. Watch CONNECT for details.
  • Employees who park in Lot 81 will be sent their permits via campus mail by Mountaineer Station.
  • Permits for employees who park in Lot 36 will expire at the end of the year.

If you need assistance or have questions, please call the Security Office at 304-598-4029. For general information about parking permits, visit Security's Parking page on CONNECT.
