Phone system to be upgraded; scheduled phone outage planned for Wednesday from 10-11:30 p.m.
A planned outage of the WVU Medicine J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital phone system will occur on Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 10-11:30 p.m. so that the phone system can be upgraded.
Critical areas of operation have been identified and will be provided emergency phone service during the outage.
All nursing areas open after 10 p.m. will be provided a working desk phone. A wireless phone will be provided for the charge nurse.
The Central Command Center will be open during the outage to monitor the upgrade and address any situations that may arise.
