Pilot program pairs MPH students with alumni mentors

Master of Public Health students have an opportunity to take part in the West Virginia University School of Public Health's pilot Alumni Mentoring Program.

An information session will be held Friday (Nov. 4) at 3:30 p.m. in Room 1905, Health Sciences Center North (follows the professional development workshop for students and alumni).

Here are just a few of the benefits. Participants will be able to:

  • Share their goals with alumni who understand their experiences.
  • Learn about career opportunities and specific job skills and tools needed in the workplace.
  • Receive tips on how to navigate the job search.
  • Build their professional network and learn from new perspectives.

Public Health alumni want to give back to the School and help students succeed. MPH students can apply online (http://publichealth.hsc.wvu.edu/students/mentor-program-application/) to be matched with a mentor.
