Saying Goodbye

A reception was held last week for longtime leader Charlotte Bennett, who is retiring on June 3 after 42 years with WVU Medicine-WVU Hospitals.

Employees stopped by to share well wishes, hugs and gifts.

During her more than four decades with WVU Medicine, Bennett has not only witnessed the evolution of an institution, but she has helped to lead it into the top healthcare destinations in the region.

Bennett currently services as the vice president of human resources but has filled serveral key roles, including a stint as interim president and CEO during the transition between Bruce McClymonds' retirement and the arrival Albert L. Wright, Jr.

Leeann K. Cerimele was recently named chief human resources officer, with responsibilties for the entirety of the West Virginia University Health System, while also serving as vice president of human resources for WVU Medicine-WVU Hospitals. She will arrive in June.
