School of Nursing to host Jenab Lectureship April 17

The WVU School of Nursing will host its annual spring event, the Lorita D. Jenab Lectureship: A Celebration of Scholarship, at 7 p.m. Friday, April 17, in Fukushima Auditorium.

Highland Hospital Association (HHA) President and CEO Cynthia A. Persily, Ph.D., R.N., will present “Inspiring Change in Today’s Challenging Healthcare Environment.” At HHA in Charleston, Dr. Persily is charged with setting strategic direction, assuring financial viability, development of new business, and evaluation of programming for the organizations. Prior to her current role, Persily spent 20 years at WVU, where most recently she served as professor and chairperson of the Charleston Division School of Nursing, and associate dean, Graduate Practice Programs.

In addition, the School will honor outstanding achievements of students, present awards and scholarships, and induct members into the Alpha Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. A reception will follow in the lobby outside the auditorium.
