Trimble, Stansbury move into assistant vice president roles
Kim Trimble and Ryan Stansbury have been named assistant vice presidents, effective immediately. Trimble assumes the role of assistant vice president for ambulatory operations, while Stansbury is assistant vice president for provider and network services.
Trimble currently serves as the director of practice operations in WVU Medicine Ambulatory Administration. She oversees 19 academic departments and clinical sites. Her responsibilities include the operational and financial oversight of the ambulatory enterprise, including scribes, call center, front desk, and insurance and registration programs.
In her new role, Trimble will continue her work with the academic and clinical departments of WVU Medicine. She will also assist in the planning and implementation of new clinical services and programs, while managing the operations of the current clinical network. She will also assist in the development of new clinics sites and implement future strategies for WVU Medicine’s ambulatory services. She will develop new primary, urgent, and specialty care clinics across West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.
Prior to her director role, which she held for five years, Trimble served 21 years as the administrator of otolaryngology and had oversight of the financial, research, and clinical operations. She started in otolaryngology in 1991.
Trimble received both her undergraduate and master's degrees from West Virginia University.
Stansbury currently serves as the administrator of the Department of Community Practice. He supports system hospitals and University Health Associates (UHA) with practice acquisitions, the development of new clinical partnerships, and the establishment of new clinic sites.
Stansbury will still maintain his current responsibilities, while taking a larger role in helping to coordinate the physician transactions and acquisitions of hospitals. He will partner with senior leaders of WVU Medicine system hospitals to support their efforts in areas such as clinical practice operations, business plans, legal coordination, project management, provider employment model selection, and all other aspects of new clinical expansion.
Stansbury joined WVU Medicine in 2013 as the first administrator of the new Community Practice Department. He assisted in the development and growth of the department, which now employs 22 providers. Prior to joining WVU Medicine, Stansbury spent seven years at Johns Hopkins Medicine in a variety of roles, finishing as the director of business development. Before joining Johns Hopkins, he spent two years at Washington Hospital Center working in its cancer institute.
Stansbury has an undergraduate degree from West Virginia University and a master’s degree in health system management from George Mason University.
