Support group for Parkinson's disease launched

HealthSouth MountainView Regional Rehabilitation Hospital and the WVU Movement Disorders Center have created the WVU Parkinson’s Disease Support Group, which meets the fourth Thursday of each month (March-November) at 2 p.m. at HealthSouth (1160 Van Voorhis Road, Morgantown).

The mission of the group is to:

  • increase awareness of Parkinson’s disease
  • educate and comfort
  • provide support and hope

The support group provides a forum to share experiences and exchange practical information. Whether patients and families are seeking peer support or assistance finding services, the group can help you connect.

WVU Medicine employees are reminded that many other support groups are connected with our providers and enterprise. Click here to see a list of support groups.
