Thinking Pink

Cristiane Ueno, MD, displays a Pink t-shirt for a fan at the WVU women’s basketball Play 4Kay pink game against Oklahoma State Saturday night at the WVU Coliseum.

Admission was free courtesy of WVU Medicine.

Along with t-shirts, fans could participate in the all new Chuck-a-Duck promotion. WVU Medicine sold numbered pink ducks to fans for $2 a piece or $10 for 6 ducks. At the conclusion of the game, fans threw the ducks onto the court, aiming for the target at the center circle. The fans  closest to the target won prizes.

All proceeds from the t-shirts and Chuck-a-Duck promotion will benefit the WVU Cancer Institute's Betty Puskar Breast Care Center.

According to Cancer Institute officials, the promotions raised more than $2,000 dollars in donations.
