Voting ends Friday for employee representative on WVUH board of directors

Nominations for the employee representative on the WVU Hospitals' board of directors were recently accepted, and the employees who received the most nominations are: Robert Anthony, Lance Bork, and Richard Todd.

Employees can cast their vote for the candidates now through Friday, July 17.

The employee receiving the most votes will be named to the board of directors on July 24 and will begin his term on Aug. 1.

WVUH has a 17-member board, and one member is a hospital employee who is elected by staff. Catherine Mayle is the current employee representative on the board.

The responsibilities and duties of the role include:

• Understanding and demonstrating a commitment to the corporation's mission.
• Keeping up to date with issues and trends that affect the organization.
• Contributing skills and knowledge by participating actively in board and committee meetings.
• Ensuring the corporation is complying with all legal and regulatory requirements.
