WVU Alumni in the News: Wheeling Doctor Gregory Merrick Named Chambers YMCA Light of the Valley
WHEELING — The Chambers YMCA Light of the Valley honoree for 2019, Dr. Gregory Merrick, knows the value of keeping fit and educating the public on health issues.
A renowned urologic oncologist, Merrick is director of Wheeling Hospital’s Schiffler Cancer Center. He has been selected as one of only 12 physicians in the U.S. as a fellow in the American Brachytherapy Society. Merrick also serves as the director of the hospital’s Men’s Health Center and Urologic Research Institute. He is a 1985 graduate of the West Virginia University School of Medicine.
