WVU Medicine Relay for Life kick-off event set for April 19

It’s more than just a cancer charity walk. Honor someone’s memory and help raise cancer awareness by joining a WVU Medicine Relay for Life team at our kick-off event on Tuesday, April 19, from 2-4 p.m. at the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center first floor atrium. Teams can sign up at the event, learn about fundraising opportunities, and get more information about Relay for Life. Cookies and punch will be served.

The WVU Cancer Institute is a presenting sponsor for this year’s Relay for Life, which will take place at Mylan Park starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 3, and ending at 7 a.m. on Saturday, June 4. The goal is to have at least 25 teams and raise more than $5,000. Team members who raise $100 each will receive a Relay for Life T-shirt.

WVU Medicine Relay for Life teams can also sign up online. Be sure to include WVU Medicine as your company name in the online application or make WVU Medicine part of your Relay for Life team name.
