WVU Healthcare purchases Fairmont property for outpatient center

University Health Associates, part of WVU Healthcare, has purchased 37 acres in Marion County and plans to build a physician office center there. The site is adjacent to the Downtown Fairmont exit (136) of I-79.

Chief Medical Officer Judie Charlton, MD, says the office will offer specialty and primary care services. “There is a demand for the expertise of our WVU Healthcare physicians in the Fairmont area. This new clinic will be responsive to the changing needs and gaps in care in the community.”

WVU Healthcare already offers services nearby for patients –  two primary care practices are now operated by UHA, and cardiology, nephrology and radiation therapy services are offered on the campus of Fairmont Regional Medical Center.
