WVU Medicine offers new clinic focusing on men's health

WVU Medicine has created a new primary care clinic that focuses on men’s health.

The WVU Medicine Men’s Clinic is dedicated to addressing the unique needs of men and provides care for men by men.

The clinic is located within the WVU Medicine Family Medicine Clinic at the outpatient center at University Town Centre. It is open from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesdays and 1-4 p.m. on Fridays.

Exams last an average of 30-40 minutes and will include an overview of the patient’s medical history and family medical history. Other areas of consultation and care could include:

  • updates on past surgeries
  • injuries
  • allergies
  • diet and exercise habits
  • alcohol, tobacco, and drug use
  • sexual health
  • laboratory tests
  • vasectomies, if requested by the patient

Patients interested in vasectomies can be scheduled in Family Medicine or can be referred to the WVU Medicine Urology vasectomy clinic. To schedule an appointment, call 855-WVU-CARE.
