WVU Medicine recognized for contributions to United Way campaign

WVU Medicine won four awards at the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties Celebration Feb. 18 at Waterfront Place Hotel.

As an organization, it won a Growth and Innovation Award, a Platinum Corporate Investment Award, and the Best of the Best (aka Chair’s Award of Merit) award. Also, Tony Condia, vice president of Marketing and Communications and 2016 WVU Medicine United Way Campaign chair, received the Advocate of the Year award.

WVU Medicine had its best-ever campaign, raising more than $200,000. United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties’ campaign raised $1,570,250 to help support 49 programs at 27 health and human service agencies in the area.
