“One of Reynolds’ strengths is the outstanding primary care it provides to our community,” Etzel said. “It’s an honor to be a part of this exceptional team of physicians, nurses, and staff who work closely together to provide superior care for our patients.”

Etzel was recently named vice president of physician operations at Reynolds Memorial. In 2016, she joined Reynolds Memorial as a hospitalist, and she will continue in that role. Etzel completed her internship and residency at Ohio Valley Medical Center after graduating from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005.

“We believe primary care is the foundation of healthcare, now, and especially for the future of medicine,” David Hess, M.D., president and CEO of Reynolds Memorial, said. “We’re recruiting exemplary physicians, like Dr. Jamie Etzel, so that patients can receive the highest quality of care without traveling far from home. With the addition of Dr. Etzel to our team, we continue to build the strongest group of providers in the region.”
