WVU Medicine Spine Conference set for Oct. 26

The 2018 WVU Medicine Spine Conference is set for Friday, Oct. 26, at the WVU Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown.

The event will address the wide range of clinical findings associated with the care of patients with spinal conditions, including the history and physical exam, spine imaging, treatment of cervical/lumbar pain and operative indications, nonsurgical treatment options, and advances in medication treatment of spine pain.

Lecture format and case presentations will provide those in attendance with take-home strategies for the improved evaluation and treatment of patients with these conditions.

A spine cadaver lab will be held as part of the conference. Lab hours are 8 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m. Attendees can observe surgical procedures being performed by WVU Medicine spine surgeons from 6:30-8 a.m. and noon-1 p.m. The lab will be setup in the parking lot between the WVU Spine Center (943 Maple Drive, behind HealthWorks) and the Holiday Inn (1188 Pineview Drive). There is not an additional fee for this non-CME activity.
