WVU to hold Stroke Conference

Statewide gathering for health professionals

The WVU Stroke Conference will be held Nov. 20, 2015, at the Bridgeport Conference Center in Bridgeport, W.Va., from 7:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

This conference is designed for physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, pharmacists,
emergency medical personnel, rehabilitation specialist and researchers with an interest
in stroke care.

It will feature an array of lectures on adult and pediatric stroke including
acute stroke intervention, management of acute stroke patients, stroke rehabilitation,
research and more. The West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services will share their plan for the advancement of stroke care access.

The conference is presented by the WVU Medicine Stroke Center and the West Virginia University Health Sciences Office of Continuing Education.
