The purpose of the HSC First-Generation Initiative is to:
· Foster a sense of community
· Develop supportive programming
· Create visibility around those who identify as First-Generation
This community includes students, faculty, staff, postdocs, and alumni at the Health Sciences Center.
First-Generation Graduate Student: An individual who is the first of their family to earn a Bachelor’s degree – and is now working towards a graduate degree.
