Scholarships available for conference

Twenty conference scholarships are available to support individuals representing healthcare, social services, allied health, and community education to attend the 2018 Lung Cancer Conference. These scholarships are the result of a collaborative that includes the WVU Cancer Institute Bridge, WV Lung Cancer Project (an initiative of the Patient Advocate Foundation), and Mountains of Hope Cancer Coalition.

The value of each scholarship is $400, which includes two nights lodging and mileage reimbursement up to 250 miles.

Eligibility

Individuals who are health professionals, allied health professionals, or community health educators are eligible. Health/allied health professionals include, but are not limited to, persons working within a local health system, screening facility, or community health clinic. Community health educators include but are not limited to, lay worker, advocate, those working in public health, health educator, and community activist.

Application and Selection Process

Interested applicants will be required to complete a short application. The application form is available online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/lungconfscholarship and via hard copy. Selected scholarship recipients will be notified via email by October 19, 2018.
