The Stroke and Its Co-Morbidities Training program is pleased to announce the availability of five T32 scholar slots for appointment May 1, 2021.

Preference is given to students who are in their second or third year of training, have selected a primary mentor, and are conducting studies related to stroke and its comorbidities. In addition, the student should want to be engaged in advanced, stroke-specific training as that provided by this NIH-funded training program.

Appointment as a T32 scholar has the benefits of payment of stipends, tuition and and fees, as well as a modest allocation of funds for professional development, such as travel to meeting, membership in societies of your choice, purchase of computers, software, laboratory supplies, etc.

The application requires submission of the following materials:

  1. A letter from you indicting how your training to date prepares you for this training program, why you want to be part of the Stroke T32 and what you believe that you can gain from this training.
  2. An updated C.V.
  3. A letter from your primary mentor, supporting your participation in the program.

PDF versions of these materials should be sent to Mallory Weaver at mallory.weaver@hsc.wvu.edu on or before February 15, 2021.
