WVCTSI announces 3 fall funding opportunities

The West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute (WVCTSI) has released requests for applications (RFA) for the Open Competition, Launch Pilot Grant, Small Grant funding opportunities.

The Open Competition RFA allows applicants to request up to $50,000 in funding which must be utilized over a 12 month period. This funding opportunity seeks to find innovative research that addresses healthcare needs in West Virginia. Examples include, but are not limited to, addiction and resultant emerging epidemics, cancer, cardiovascular disease, chronic lung disease, and neuroscience.

The Launch Pilot Grant program focuses on accelerating the translation of intellectual property developed by WVCTSI researchers into realized inventions and patents. Applicants can request up to $50,000 in funding, which must be utilized over 9 months.

The Small Grants RFA is an open competition where applicants can request up to $5,000 in funding to address the health care needs of West Virginia. The maximum project period for small grants is 6 months.
