Pack The Rack: Health Sciences community stepping up to honor veterans

Donate canned goods through Nov. 3

WVU faculty, students and staff are invited to give back to the community by donating non-perishable food items in honor of fallen U.S. army soldier and WVU graduate Corporal Tyler Burroughs.

The campaign commemorates the “Rack II@HSC,” the health sciences campus food bank's one-year anniversary. Donations of non-perishable food items will be delivered to Morgantown Soup Kitchen and Salvation Army.

Three high-protein items are being collected:

  • canned chicken
  • canned tuna
  • peanut butter

Health Sciences employees and students may drop off their items at the Rack II, ground floor HSC, Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. between now and Nov. 3.

Additional information can be obtained by visiting The Rack’s Facebook page, The Rack: WVU Campus Food Bank or Twitter feed, @WVU_TheRack.
