“Navigating Academia with Imposter Syndrome”

As a first generation college student from a single parent home, I know that for many students, success in school sometimes comes at the cost of living authentically and this often leads to a paralyzing fear of being “found out” that you “don’t belong". Now, as an assistant professor of Civil Engineering and Construction, I am working to help students realize they “belong”, no matter where they come from and that many people around them are experiencing this “imposter syndrome” as well.

Dr. Rachael Sherman, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Engineering Technology and Construction Management, Univ. North Carolina at Charlotte

Time: 12:00-1:00 PM

If you would like to attend, please RSVP.
