Science and Creativity Summit

The Office of Research and Graduate Education would like to invite you to the “Science and Creativity Summit” on August 8th at Evansdale Crossing from 10:00-4:00. Participants will include a wonderfully diverse group of faculty, staff and trainees with whom to interact and relax. The day will offer a variety of hands-on activities to let our minds wander a bit while making new connections with workshops including, but not limited to, the following:
  • Humor and Scholarly Communication
  • 3D Printing Demonstration
  • Sketching workshop
  • Painting (individually and in groups)
  • Vision board creation
  • Meditation sessions
  • Biodots and Journaling
  • Learning to be Heard without Yelling
  • Harp Lessons
  • Slack Line
Lunch will be provided. Please wear really casual clothing in which you will be comfortable moving around, painting, etc. A variety of podcasts related to intersections between science and creativity and live music will run throughout the day in space designed for you to relax, listen, and chat with friends (or have some time to yourself) when not in a workshop. Each participant will design the day to include what fits their interests.
We hope to see you on the 8th!
Laura F. Gibson, Ph.D.

If you plan to attend, please RSVP.
