Cassandra M. Hershman, MA, NCC is a recent graduate of the Doctor of Psychology Program (Psy.D) in Clinical Psychology at Marshall University. In addition to being a full-time student, Cassandra was a graduate assistant in the Psychology Clinic at Marshall University and completed her 3rd year practicum requirements at Diversified Assessment and Therapy Services in Kenova, WV. She recently completed her dissertation titled “Understanding the Influence of Childhood Experiences on the Development of Pedophilic Behavior in Adult Females,” and was recently awarded the Lamina F. Maynard Queen Memorial Scholarship for her research.

Hershman is originally from Preston County, WV, and currently resides in St. Albans, WV. She obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from West Virginia University in 2014, a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from West Virginia University in 2016, and a Master of Arts Degree in General Psychology from Marshall University in 2018. Additionally, she earned her National Certified Counselor Certificate in 2016. Cassandra has a passion for promoting West Virginia culture, reducing negative stereotypes, and improving the lives of the residents of this state.
