Kruti Pandya, MPH
Kruti Pandya currently holds degrees in Surgery and Medicine as a Family Medicine Doctor and has practiced medicine in several villages in India. During her stay in India, Pandya tended to populations with limited medical resources using a holistic medical approach and became passionately determined to reduce suffering wherever possible; this eventually became the catalyst for her to further her education at WVU through the Master of Public Health (MPH) program.
As a WVU MPH graduate, she hopes to expose the healthcare burdens faced by rural communities and plans to focus on the opioid crisis. Pandya has also recently been selected to work on two grant projects at WVU: the first is through the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation Project and the WVU office of Health Services Research, and the second is through the Living Well With Pain Program. Her efforts with these grants aim to help participants cope with physical, mental, and emotional aspects of chronic pain. She is also a Research Assistant for the Diabetes Health Home Evaluation Project, where she conducts comprehensive evaluations of the WV Diabetes Health Home Pilot Program and makes recommendations on program expansion to the state.View More Profiles
