Walden retires after 30 years at WVU

James Paul Walden, a 30-year member of WVU’s facilities management team, including 13 years in the leadership group for HSC facilities, will retire Wednesday, Sept. 9.

“Please join me in congratulating Paul on his coming retirement and for his service to WVU and the HSC,” said Ted Thompson, interim director of the HSC Facilities Management Department.

Walden worked on the main campus before coming to the Health Sciences Center, where he oversaw dozens of construction, renovation and improvement projects that created better environments for learning, research and patient care across the campus.
