A team of physicians and nurses from WVU recently presented a workshop entitled: Simulating the Tough Times: An IP approach at the International Meeting for Simulation in Healthcare. Faculty from the STEPS Disaster Life Support Training Center recently traveled to Charleston and delivered the Advanced Hazmat Life Support course to participants from CAMC and area Fire and EMS agencies. The AHLS Course is a comprehensive two day course covering the properties of hazardous materials, Epidemiology, Toxicodynamics and specific treatments and antidotes for hazardous incidents.
