Monday, May 13: WVCTSI hosting MacArthur Genius Awardees for special research seminar

The West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute (WVCTSI) will host two MacArthur Genius Awardees for a special seminar on research excellence on Monday, May 13.

WVCTSI External Advisory Committee members Bonnie Bassler, Ph.D, professor and chair of molecular biology at Princeton University, and Wafaa El-Sadr, M.D., MPH, director of ICAP and university professor of epidemiology and medicine at Columbia University, will present, “Reaching National Excellence in Research: Insiders’ Perspectives.” During this seminar Dr. Bassler and Dr. El-Sadr will provide helpful lessons learned during their careers.

This seminar will take place Monday, May 13 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. In room G119B of the WVU Health Sciences Center. A networking lunch is also available at 12 p.m. for those who RSVP to sarah.haymond@hsc.wvu.edu. by Friday, May 10 at 12:00 p.m.
