Early career faculty encouraged to register for Teaching Scholars Program

Applications are now open for the 2024-25 Teaching Scholars Program. Presented by the WVU Health Sciences Faculty Development Program, the Teaching Scholars Program is a two-year program designed to foster the growth of early career faculty to their maximum potential in the areas of teaching, research and service.

During the first year, scholars attend weekly workshops online from 8-9 a.m. on Tuesday. Second-year scholars meet monthly at a time of their choice to collaborate on research projects.

Through a variety of lectures and training opportunities, scholars will complete modules focused on learning styles and strategies, scholarship in education, information technology, leadership in education and assessment.

The online application, recommendation form and additional details are available on the Faculty Development Program website. Applications are due Friday, August 23.
