Construction on helipad will cause diversion of helicopter traffic

At 7 a.m. Monday, June 29, a crane will be placed in front of the west side of Ruby Memorial to begin work on a helipad roof replacement. The project will take four weeks to complete. All lifting activities will be inside the existing construction area behind the fence.

During the project, all helicopter traffic will be diverted to the WVU Intramural Field across from Lot 82. From there, the HealthNet emergency vehicle will transport patients to the Emergency Department. The return route will travel between Ruby and the HSC building.
