The mission of the Health Sciences Center is to improve the health of West Virginians through the education of health professionals, through basic/clinical scientific research and research in rural healthcare delivery, through the provision of continuing professional education, and through participation in the provision of direct and supportive healthcare.
West Virginia University graduates are passionate, loyal and caring. They serve as ambassadors and advocates for healthcare and education all over the world. Our graduates provide valuable resources, including time and money, to support programs and outreach initiatives that improve the quality of life of those we serve.
